I made a new flannel for the toddlers, Five Little Owls, as seen on Sunflower Storytime. They came out pretty cute. I ended up using a simple rhyme, I’m not sure if I made it up or read it somewhere. The short rhyme works well because I let the kids each take a turn coming up to the board and making one of the owls “fly away” into my hand. When I have 16 kids in the room, this can take quite awhile if the rhyme isn’t quick.

One flew away…
How many do you see?
Four, three, two, one… none!
